Who is the course for?

Primary Newly Qualified Teachers in Foundation and/or Key Stage 1

What is the course about?

This course will look at how to use ICT effectively as a tool for Teaching and Learning. Participants will gain a better understanding of how best to make use of Interactive Whiteboards and other peripherals. They will also consider ways to implement the ICT curriculum in their relevant phase through cross- curricular lessons. Those attending will experience a range of software and hardware through hands-on sessions.
















What are the intended outcomes?
Teachers will feel more confident delivering and planning lessons using the National Curriculum for ICT and will have a bank of activities and ideas to take back into the classroom. ____________________________________________________________

Who is the course for?
Primary ICT Subject Leaders/ Coordinators, though we also welcome instructors and technicians.



What is the day about?
This regular meeting addresses pertinent issues in Primary ICT , such as the Rose Review and assessment of ICT. Each day has a mixture of ‘hands-on’ training, discussion and briefings.



What are the intended outcomes?
Subject Leaders will be updated on current ICT issues and will gain some hands-on experiences of new software/ hardware. There is also a good opportunity to share good practice with other schools.

Who is the course for?
New and aspiring Primary ICT Subject Leaders/ Coordinators, though we also welcome instructors and technicians.

What is the course about?
This course will share effective strategies for implementing this important and exciting role. It will outline the role of the ICT subject leader and look at how to develop a plan of action to help you be proactive in developing ICT in their schools. The course takes place over one and a half days and includes observations of leading ICT teachers.

What are the intended outcomes?
Participants will have a range of strategies for auditing and forward planning with ICT, as well as ‘top tips’ for carrying out the role effectively.

Who is the course for?

All primary teachers with a SMART or Promethean White Board

What is the course about?
The technology available to teachers is increasing. This day will demonstrate: key whiteboard skills, how to use film and PowerPoint effectively. The course also seeks to show how certain pieces of additional hardware, called peripherals can extend the use of whiteboards in your classroom.






What is the aim of the course?
Participants will have an awareness of generic software and additional technology that can enhance teaching and learning, e.g. scanners, voting systems, digital cameras, digital video and digital dictaphones.
